“What can our team do?” We kept on asking ourselves this question. We wanted to have another worthwhile activity before the year ends. Then, realizing how blessed we are, we agreed to organize an outreach program.
On December 19, 2019, our InDinero family decided to give back to the community, particularly to share our time and blessings to those in need. Our chosen beneficiary was Bahay Maria Orphanage located at Brgy. Bel-Air, Makati City. This orphanage acts as a safe haven for young girls who were abandoned. They also provide formal education to these children and teach them to become closer to God.
Our fun afternoon started with introductions, each of us giving one-word description of ourselves. Then, after some rest, the Ates and Kuyas conducted some games and performed dance numbers. Of course, the kids were thrilled. They kept on calling these Ates the BLACKPINK members’ names even after they changed. We were informed that the kids also prepared something for us. Little did we know that their presentation would make some of us cry. The kids sang us their beautiful rendition of the songs, “Do You Hear What I Hear?” and “10,000 Reasons”.
Lastly, aside from spending our time with them, the main purpose of the event was to give gifts and donations. The culture committee who organized the event distributed the goodie bags and other grocery items for the orphanage.
Indeed, it was a memorable afternoon filled with joy, laughter, and even tears which served as an inspiration to us all to continue doing good.
